A Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC or Life Plan Community) is a residential community for older adults (typically age 62+) that provides a variety of living options, along with services, amenities and a continuum of care designed to address the changing needs of residents as they age. A CCRC, like Pleasant View, offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Short-Term Rehabilitation, Memory Support and Skilled Nursing on a single campus.
CCRCs, like Pleasant View, give residents confidence in their plan for the future. They’re making their own forward-thinking decisions, rather than burdening family or having to make a rushed decision. Residents are able to live in the same community if their needs change. This alleviates the stress of moving multiple times and maintains existing relationships in a familiar environment. Being on one campus also enables couples to remain close to each other if one person requires a higher level of care.
